17th April 2008 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: E Wind Stength: 25-35 knots Surf / Sea State: Flat Air Temperature: 8ºC Sea Temperature: 9ºC Weather: Sunny Max Speed: 31.1 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: Wooohooo... A beautiful sun-drenched day with Ivor in full force. Went for a speed session off the seafront with my S-Type and Arrows Tomahawk which must be 20 years old! Wind was a bit flukey close in but once out a little further it was farily constant and nice and strong. Well powered up and flying across the choppy water in the sunshine. Messed around with various settings a little trying to squeeze some more speed out of my kit but almost every run was around 35 knots. the fastest of the day was 35.8 knots which is pretty respectable! Flatter water and stronger winds mught get it up to 36.5, maybe 37 but I can't see that kit going much faster than that with me on board. What I need is some new speed kit! |
